The Kansas City Museum is the most attractive place to visit at Scarritt Renaissance, especially for history enthusiasts. It is located at 3218 Gladstone Blvd., Kansas City, Missouri.

Well, you may have heard it was closed a few years ago due to an extended renovation. But the good news is, now you can visit the building and have a whole new experience. It looks more amazing after years of renovation.

The museum is housed in the historic Beaux-Arts-style mansion. Architect Henry Ford Hoit designed the mansion in 1909. Earlier, it was a private estate and made available for the public in 1940.

There is so much to explore in the Kansas City Museum. The planetarium must be the most exciting thing to check out. Then the 1910-style soda fountain is something that you wouldn’t want to miss.

Overall, the place represents the glorious history of the city. Take some time and explore around the place to have an amazing tour of the Kansas City Museum.

First, you need to get onto the Kaw Dr heading northeast and from it go onto the I-70 E. After driving for about 12 miles via I-70 E, you’ll cross the Kansas River, and about half a mile afterward you’ll cross the Kansas-Missouri state border, leaving the Kansas state behind and enter the Missouri state.

Continue driving eastward via I-70. Next, you have to take the exit 2H for US-24 E (Independence Avenue) and continue driving eastward. After driving around 1 mile, you will find a Bus Stop On Independence Ave at Chestnut Westbound. This is the entrance to the Scarritt Renaissance neighborhood, which will be on your left.

Continue driving east and 0.2 miles to reach KFC, 3014 Independence Ave, Kansas City, MO 64124. If you feel hungry driving this long, you can have some fried chicken at the restaurant, or you can keep driving towards the Kansas City Museum.

Continue driving onto Independence Ave from the bakery, and after 0.2 miles, turn left onto S Jackson Ave. Approximately 300 feet ahead, there is the Avenue Family Church on your left addressed 522 Jackson Ave, Kansas City, MO 64124.

Continue driving north onto S Jackson Ave, and 0.4 miles ahead, you will reach a cross street. Take a left turn, and 154 feet ahead, you will see a grocery store on your left named St. John Grocery Store. The location is 4020 St John Ave, Kansas City, MO 64123.

Head west on St John Ave. After 0.3 miles, you will see Boho Bungalow KC, 3532 St John Ave, Kansas City, MO 64123. The guest house will be on your left, and you can check it if you are planning a night stay.

However, if you plan to shift at Scarritt Renaissance, then you can check the Gladstone Apartments on your way to the Kansas City Museum. Continue driving west, and 0.3 miles ahead, you will reach a traffic circle. Turn right and take the first exit onto Gladstone Ave. Goldstone Apartments, 105 Gladstone Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64123, will be on your right.
